The City School strengthens and develops youth to become community leaders through social justice education, skills development, community organizing, networking and mentorship. During the School year we offer our Pathways to Change program for Emerging Leaders to develop their skills in order to lead community workshops and events.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
This position includes 3 weeks of training where young people will go through all of our Job Readiness and Life Skills training. After training each young person will participate in a series of political education workshops as well as creating and designing political/social justice workshops of their own in order to lead for the community. Youth will also support and plan the logistics for several community based events Duties: 1) Participate in political and community workshops 2) Research and create your own community workshop 3) plan out logistics for community event for example budget, food, outreach etc.. 4) facilitate workshop 5) flyer and door knock to local community
