  • Overview:

    Youth Producers work in the Beyond Creative Program. Producers are tasked with bringing their creativity, drive, and passions to the office where they take part in a curriculum of workshops, projects, and screenings.The curriculum takes producers through all levels of production: from pre-production (idea generation) to post-production (editing, etc).Applicants are expected to come to this work with passion, ideas, and a willingness to be open and learn.TCP promises to offer a platform for producers to authentically share their voices while learning highly valuable digital media arts skills.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Youth Producer: -Take part in Beyond Creative curriculum + demonstrate competency with media equipment (Cameras, Lenses, Lights, Mics, etc.!) -Work with staff to create media projects (topics and specifics will vary by needs and goals) -Create at least (1) personal video capstone project.

    The Ideal Candidate for this Job:

    1. A passion for media arts and storytelling. Without those this opportunity may feel like school to some.2. Must be able to be here at the office (100R Warren Street, Roxbury) by 3:00PM and stay til 6:00P Tuesdays and Thursdays.3. Sometimes we have production shoots, site visits, etc. off-site. Mostly these are volunteer-based, however sometimes they need to be mandatory based on the needs to the organization.TCP will always alert youth ahead of time when these come up; we need youth who are comfortable using the T and can create availability outside regular hours to take part in these opportunities.
