Youth Apprentices will be mentored by resident artists and Urbano administrative staff for for up to 10 hours a week. In addition to new art techniques, apprentices will learn about the use of public interactive art for social change and assist with the curation, installation and opening of exhibitions. They will develop some of the skills it takes to run an arts organization, and to document impact. This will create a context for job skills training and communicating the value of the arts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
-Support program manager with data entry -Coordinate with Teaching Artists to assist with room set up and print attendance for classes when necessary, assit with supply orders -Help prepare walls for art shows in gallery space -Support studio coordinator with hanging & uninstalling artwork -Maintaining the condition of the studio, including but not limited to: the floors, walls, chairs, kitchen area, art material and supplies
