Increased engagement between the District 4 City Councilor and young people in District 4. Increased public engagement skills and experience for District 4 youth. Policies and initiatives led by our office in partnership with the Council that are forward- looking and create a brighter future for our young people. The perspectives and priorities of young people are highly valued by those with decision-making power. Youth raised in District 4 feel safe in their communities, can afford to stay in their communities, and want to invest in their communities.Youth have access to the resources, training, and support they need to be effective advocates and leaders.

BCYF Nazzaro Community Center provides activities and programs for all residents within City of Boston. Some of our programs include the following: Senior Citizens, Toddler Time, After School Programming for 6-12yr olds, Teen Programing, Recreation, etc.

The BCYF Martin Pino Community Center has been serving the east Boston community for 43 years. We support children, youths, individuals, and families through a wide range of programs and services. We offer numerous programs and events for all different ages. Some of our programs include basketball, soccer, volleyball, wiffleball, cornhole, paint night, Senior program, summer and afterschool program, etc.
The City of Boston Office of Human Resources (OHR) primarily partners with internal City departments to attract and develop diverse, qualified, and productive employees to serve Boston's residents. In addition, OHR manages a school year and summer jobs program for Boston youth between 14 - 18 years old.
We are first fire department in the Nation - The origins of the Boston Fire Department date back to 1678 with the establishment of the first engine company and the receipt of the first hand fire engine in North America. The Board of Fire Wards was established on February 1, 1711. In the early years, fire suppression was a bucket brigade, the department progressed, from horse-drawn steam engines and ladders to the modern day fire apparatuses and equipment we have today. We serve each neighborhood in the City with Firehouses strategically located throughout to include specialty units including, but not limited to HazMat and Water Rescue

BCYF Roche Center is proud to offer programming for preschool to older adults. Programming includes but is not limited to art, movement, music, yoga, sport, pottery and special events for all ages. Our department is responsible for 217 City parks, playgrounds and athletic fields, two golf courses, 65 squares, 17 fountains, 75 game courts, 16 historic and three active cemeteries, urban wilds, four High School Athletic Fields, and approximately 125,000 trees, all covering 2,346 acres, 1,000 of which comprise the historic Emerald Necklace. We are also responsible for more than 35,000 street trees. From ParkARTS performing arts like concerts and puppet shows, to participatory programming like arts and crafts workshops, to special events and festivals—Boston's parks are full of activity!
Hennigan Community Center has been serving the Jamaica Plain and greater Boston community since 1978 (46 years). The majority of our participants are youth between 5 to 24 years of age. they have been able to participate in a variety of programs and/ activities such as; Before School, After school, summer programs; Teen program, girls program, running club, at the gym (basketball, volleyball, soccer, fitness classes, futsal, boxing), at the pool (swim lessons, open pool and family swim time)
For over 47 years, the Jackson Mann Community Center has played a vital role in our diverse community' efforts to achieve the highest possible level of health, well- being and quality of life by providing affordable, accessible, comprehensive and interdisciplinary health and human services. JMCC serves over 3000 low- moderate income participants annually in programs Youth Outreach, JMCC Teen programming ( ages 13-19 years old) recreation/ Enrichment (youth, teen and adult community). and Adult Education.
More than 35 years ago, STRIVE began as a grant-funded program where special education teachers provided vocational experiences and transitional services to high school students with disabilities. As a result of the initial success of the program, STRIVE currently receives district funding. To this day, STRIVE continues to expand vocational and transitional opportunities that it provides to students. OUR STUDENTS STRIVE student's come from a variety of backgrounds and neighborhoods in Boston and each student comes with a variety of unique learning needs. They participate in substantially separate educational settings or have been identified as a "student in need" by Directors of Special Education. This may include students who are not diploma bound, students who did not meet local graduation requirements, or students who have not passed state required assessment tests after multiple attempts. All of our students need assistance in the transition process from high school to their individualized post secondary options.
BCYF consists of 36 centers and pools throughout the neighborhoods of Boston. The BCYF Curley Community Center is one of the 36 sites. We are located within the South Boston community, and we are a year-round, stand-alone center that offers numerous educational, fitness, children, and senior programs.
G.R.O.W. Girls Reflecting Our World (GROW) is a community-based preventative youth guidance girl’s mentorship program focused on building community-youth-police relationship building. This program specifically focuses on middle to high school aged girls who live in and or attend school in the inner city of Boston. We focus on middle school aged girls as a core and support them into the transition into high school. Girls Reflecting Our World was created with the purpose of providing experiences and opportunities for young girls to carry with them throughout their lifetime by teaching life skills, social skills and over-all character-building opportunities. The program focuses on promoting self-esteem building, leadership building, problem solving, interpersonal skills, growth and mentorship. The main goal of the program is to support, inspire, and mentor young people as they transition from their formative years to young adulthood and create, provide and encourage opportunities otherwise not available to them as inner-city young girls. As this program grows, we continue to foster and grow those relationships not just with the youth but the families as well, which allows us to change the experience of not just the youth but the families’ experiences and impressions of law enforcement.
