**This position will be: Hybrid: In-Person and Remote**
The Youth Leader conducts outreach to community members, plans CVC UNIDO events, and works collaboratively in a team to promote the interests of the Cape Verdean Community publicly. Youth Leaders attend training and meetings Monday through Friday for the duration of the Youth Leadership Academy.
� Plan and facilitate meetings with community partners, civic associations, and other organizations � Conduct regular outreach to community members in their homes, place of business, or at a communal gathering point � Attend all Youth Leadership Academy training, meetings, and events early enough to be prepared to work at the start time. � Complete all requirements of the Youth Leadership Academy including writing a resume, delivering a speech, conducting door-knocking, hosting meetings with peers, and other responsibilities as assigned � Other duties as assigned
� Must be able to acquire and demonstrate appropriate work behavior including attendance, focus on job tasks, ability to follow through with instructions. � Must maintain good school attendance and performance and have a disposition and capability to work well with the the youth of diverse backgrounds, receive constructive criticism from and work with adults, and invest in their personal growth and professional development. � Must have or be willing to work on developing strong written and oral communication skills � Must demonstrate integrity and professionalism � Must have a linguistic capacity to work with the target population
