**This position will be: Completely Remote**


Beantown's mission is to unite youth across race, class, culture, and neighborhood to end youth violence by transforming young people's oppression, rejection, neglection, and depression into youth power. Beantown engages young people from Boston who are prepared to be leaders in fighting for neighborhood and community change.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Participating in, designing and facilitating workshops on social justice issues, such as gentrification, violence prevention and identity, power and privilege

- Engaging in community events and actions around issues impacting the neighborhoods of JP, Roxbury and Dorchester

- Doing outreach to youth and community members to engage them in community events and organizing

- Hosting arts-based community events

- Facilitating violence prevention workshops and retreats for middle school students at the Curley School

The Ideal Candidate for this Job:

- Passionate and interested in social justice

- Able to outreach to peers and community members

- Willing to do public speaking in front of small and large groups

- Committed to growth and developing leadership skills
