Overview:

West End House aims to inspire and enable youth from all backgrounds, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens by ensuring that they are succeeding academically, exploring and mastering the arts, developing career readiness skills, and adopting healthy lifestyles.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Core Area Peer Leader Responsibilities: Help program staff in assigned core area (e.g., education center, art room, music clubhouse), facilitate activities in core area, set up before and clean up after activities, and take attendance. Core area activities include educational and team-building games, visual and performing arts, nutrition education, and athletics. Kitchen & Café Peer Leader Responsibilities: Support all operations of the West End House nutrition access and culinary skills program, daily meal preparation support (e.g., chopping produce, measuring ingredients, following proper safety and sanitation standards), serving meals to youth, assisting with cleaning and proper food handling after meals, and tracking the numbers of meals served.
