Overview:

BCYF Vine St Community Center (BCYF Vine St CC) is housed in the Roxbury neighborhood. It is a neighborhood rich in people diversity, culture and institutions which set it apart from more traditional neighborhoods. Residents coexist with the largest hospital complex in the region. In addition, BCYF Vine St CC also supports many of its' local schools by providing space for physical education and sports events. BCYF Vine St CC is governed by a fifteen-member neighborhood Council. The Council meets monthly to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the BCYF Vine St CC programs and services. Over 65% of the members are residents of the Roxbury community and therefore, represents the diversity of the neighborhood.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Vine St, incorporated over 21 years, offers a wide range of activities and programs including a licensed by EEC after school/summer camp for ninety to a hundred children ages 6-12, a Computer Center with fourteen workstations and computer classes for all ages, a city-wide Youth Connection Program for youth ages 13-19, and a Drop-In Program for youth ages 6-17. BCYF Vine St CC also has a very busy Athletic Department that provides numerous athletic leagues, tournaments, and recreational activities.
