The Wentworth Training Program provides vocational opportunities for Boston Public School students, ages 18-22, who receive special education services. This community-based vocational training program offers pathways to internships, externships, employment, and postgraduate opportunities in fields such as Facilities Management, Hospitality, Customer Service, Business Management, and Public Works (recycling).
This program provides authentic work experience, where students are assigned job titles, work IDs, receive evaluations, and are eligible for pay raises. We set high expectations for all learners, ensuring that our community-based partners receive the best of BPS students.
As a professional contractor, we are accountable for results. Student tasks and evaluations focus not only on personal growth but also on productivity in contracted work. The program maximizes student learning by allowing students to set goals for their personal development and mastery of projects and skills.
