Mission of the District 4 Youth Council:
To uplift and empower the voices and work of youth and youth organizations across District 4 by involving them as key stakeholders in decision-making processes.
This is accomplished by:
Hosting consistent council meetings where youth and youth workers in our district can gather to highlight their priorities, provide feedback to the office, and engage in meaningful dialogue with the Councilor.
Hiring youth from our district to serve as liaisons between the office and young people, offering them valuable experience in organizing outreach efforts.
Maintaining a consistent presence in the ongoing work of youth and youth organizations in District 4.
Leading and implementing youth-led projects that address community needs on a regular basis.
Striving to create and implement a robust, long-lasting, and meaningful youth engagement strategy.
