Welcome to the SuccessLink Youth Employment Program

Mayor Martin J. Walsh & the City of Boston Department of Youth Engagement & Employment are excited to announce the launch of the 2019 SuccessLink Summer Employment Program! Every summer, the City of Boston partners with hundreds of community-based and nonprofit organizations across the city to provide meaningful employment opportunities to thousands of Boston youth ages 15 to 18. Youth may have the opportunity to work in various positions that include sports specialists, choreographers, administrative assistants, mural painters, peer leaders and many more!

Come out to our job fair to connect with over 200 employers, participate in career development workshops, enjoy some free food, music, raffles, giveaways,  games and so much more!

Join us on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center. Click Here to Register! We hope to see you there!

For the summer, Youth Engagement & Employment (YEE) will post job opportunities for youth to register for directly.  Youth may register for up to 15 positions. Once youth have completed registration for the organizations that they are interested in working with, partner organizations may reach out to youth to interview and select them.

Youth who are  interested in applying must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a full-time resident of the City of Boston
  • Must turn 15 years old on or before Monday, July 8, 2019
  • Cannot turn 19 years old, on or before Friday, August 16, 2019
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Youth will be able to register for jobs at organizations that will be hosting teens through the SuccessLink program. Youth will be prompted to create a profile for SuccessLink and then register for available positions that align with their interests.

Onboarding and Paperwork Completion: Youth registrants that accept job placements will be emailed instructions on how to fill out the necessary hiring paperwork along with a checklist of required documents.

Youth should log-in to their SuccessLink profile using the email and password they used to make their SuccessLink account to fill out the paperwork and upload required documents. After they have completed the paperwork online, they will then be asked to bring their original documents to the YEE team to be verified and complete the hiring process!
